Colposcopy Guidelines
With colposcopy guidelines the patient will understand the necessity of the procedure for treating cervical dysplasia and avoiding infertility.
To examine the cervix under magnification after a Pap smear test has shown the presence of the abnormal tissue the coloscope is used. It is a large electronic microscope with a bright light on the end. Abnormal areas are seen as white through it.
With colposcopy guidelines the patient will understand the necessity of the procedure for treating cervical dysplasia and avoiding infertility.

But if abnormal tissues have spread behind the cervix, the cone biopsy or LEEP are performed to treat the disorder and prevent the development of cancer. If the entire abnormal zone can be seen, the sample of the tissue (biopsy) is taken for further analysis.
