Female Cervix
Disorders of the female cervix related to HPV and other STDs sometimes require a cone biopsy to confirm origin.
Some cervical disorders include cervicitis (an inflammation), polyps (not cancer), genital warts, and dysplasia – abnormal cells that can turn into cancer if left untreated and cervical cancer. Complete pelvic exams including a pap test are excellent preventative measures. When found early, cervical disorders are easily treated with good results.

This is a critical part of the reproductive system. It is considered to be the lower part of your uterus, and produces cervical mucus when a woman ovulates making it easier for sperm to enter the uterus. It is susceptible to infection, STDs, dysplasia, and cancer. Disorders of the female cervix related to HPV and other STDs sometimes require a cone biopsy to confirm origin.
