Cervix Biopsy
Samples during cervix biopsy may help in determining causes of miscarriage or diseases such as HPV oncogenisis.
The process entails local anesthesia, a speculum inserted into the vaginal orifice to allow observation, a second instrument for sample collection and finally instrument removal. Previous bleeding disorders or drug usage such as anticoagulants or aspirin or post surgical excessive bleeding or surgical-wound infection are associated complications.
