It may take years for dysplasia to turn into serious problem, which can quickly spread into other tissues. In early stages there no symptoms. Then persistent vaginal discharge and abnormal bleeding may occur, weight loss, fatigue, back pain or bone fracture are possible. For treatment hysterectomy is performed.

The development of the disease is gradual, and begins with dysplasia, which is treatable without surgical removal of the uterus.
