Since HPV is transmitted through simple skin-to-skin contact, condoms offer little to know protection against sexually transmitted strains of HPV. Abstinence, or having one sexual partner (a monogamous relationship) is the only real protection against HPV transmission.

The age, at which most women contract HPV, is between the ages of 18 and 25.
