Cervical cancer incidence can be reduced if condyloma or a genital wart is treated early.
To reduce the chances of getting the disease women should avoid sexual activity before 18 years old, avoid having promiscuous partners or use condoms, and discontinue any tobacco use. Pelvic examinations, including PAP smear should be taken regularly. Remember that early detection can save your life.

Infections of various types cause dysplasia, which can lead to development of atypical tissues. Precancers are completely curable when detected early and followed up properly. Many conditions are cured without surgical treatment. Women over 35, women who had multiple sexual partners or a history of HPV or genital warts, women taking oral contraceptives are at risk.
