Cervical cancer epidemiology shows a reduced rate of cervical cancers resulting from Pap smears and early treatment like colposcopy and cryosurgery.
Early pre-cancers have no symptoms, so it's very important for women to have regular Pap smears. Signs appear when the disease is futher along. The can be: anusual discharge from the vagina, bleeding, pain during sexual intercourse. If the results of Pap smear raise questions, other tests are necessary.
