Cervical Cancer Chemotherapy
Cervical cancer chemotherapy may accompany a LEEP procedure for severe vaginal dysplasia.
The severe side effects were leukopenia (low number of white blood cells) and nausea and vomiting. These were more frequent and more severe in the women who had the combined therapy than in those who had radiation alone. In general, these adverse effects were temporary and manageable.
Cervical cancer chemotherapy may accompany a LEEP procedure for severe vaginal dysplasia.

Cervical Cancer Chemotherapy -
LEEP Procedure, Vaginal Dysplasia
Together with radiation therapy this procedure is used for treatment of invasive malignant tissues. Recent studies show the reduced risk of deaths by 30% to 50%. Three different drugs are used in the procedure: cisplatin, hydroxyurea, and 5-fluorouracil (5-flu). Cervical cancer chemotherapy may accompany a LEEP procedure for severe vaginal dysplasia.
